Front luggage rack and low front fender ?
I saw a front luggage rack bolted around the headlight on a Hawk clone but now I can’t find the picture. Anyone know who sells them ?
Also, saw a low mount front fender for USD forks. Who sells them ? Both these items would potentially go on a TT250 if I end up with one. |

No, that's for a conventional fork. I need it for an upside down fork.

Thanks Jerry. Right concept, different rack. This one looks heavy and fugly but I'll keep it on file for future reference. The one I saw has round tubing like the rear rack you see on the Bashan models and mounted differently.
How about the fender ? Any ideas on that ? |

Something more like this? Same basic idea for the same bike, done a little differently https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-TW20...-/111318729298
Or this? Small platform on the top of the headlight. http://www.motorcyclegear.com/browse...ct_images/3206 Another TW200 front rack, an above the light style this time. http://www.manracks.com/product-page...200-front-rack

A couple of these racks would block the headlight when something was placed on them, rendering the bike illegal in some states (all of the N.Eng. states at the very least). What would you do with the luggage on the rack if it rained, some states require headlights on in the rain? Wouldn't a good tank bag be a better option? Perhaps one of those bags that attaches to the handlebar brace?
I have seen similar racks attached to "farm" bikes, mostly in Australia and New Zealand (think Kawasaki 250 Sherpa) but these bikes are used to cover the large farms that are common there, and rarely see the road. Carrying any weight so high and so close to the end of the wheelbase could make handling in tricky situations even more difficult. There are better alternatives than these front racks. |

You’re right, having a rack that blocks the headlight is stupid. The one I saw was above the light and would be good for very light stuff like my Frogg Togg.
