warranty hawk

hi was just wondering if anyone has used there hawk warranty.

so i just purchesed the hawk not even 1 moth ago did everything everyone recommended lock tight check tire spokes oil, ect.
so i bought the bike to use at my work to map trails the bike max has seen speed of 25mph and when on trails i go between 3-5 mphs to get good gps trail
i was on a trail at the point of the chain breaking was doing only 3-5 mph, not only did the chain break but it punched threw the case cutting the wires going between the case and motor and also craked the motor its self and leaks oil out of it
would this be covered by the warranty? its not even 1 moth old taken care of chgecked chain before going out each time just lost for words.. any info would be great thansk!

Depending on who you bought it from. Some will warranty there produces and some could care less after the sale. The two dealer I have dealt with took care of warrant issues. All you can do is try. When you adjusted the chain, did you check for play with or without a load on the bike. The chain should be adjusted with a load as the chain will tighten up when the swing are is about parallel with the ground. Easy way to do that is use a ratchet strap and attach to the swing are and rear hand rails and tighten it down. If you adjusted it without a load on it then it more than likely was too tight with a load and snapped the chain.

dont think it would be a warranty issue. they will just say you adjusted the chain too tight which looks like you did. one guy had his too tight and chain didnt break but pulled the tranny out breaking the case. entire new case isnt expensive or get someone that can weld aluminum and you good to go.

You may have had a stick or rock get jammed between the chain and sprocket.

Contact the seller ASAP. If they wont help how did you pay? If it was with a credit card contact them and make a claim. Let us know how it goes.
