Sounds like the fun is about to begin, everything about the process of getting it and putting together almost gives a grown person a glimpse back to childhood and the anticipation of something really great! nothing really excites me much anymore but this bike has been a complete blast to mess with.

I hope you have as much fun as me and a lot of other people around here.

For me, it is just like getting a new Revelle Model kit, but on an adult scale, and that actually works - fulfilling that desire you always had as a kid of being able to actually fly/drive/ride it when you were finished.

12-4 tomorrow.

I bet I get a lot done today, because that's going to be a long ass 24 hours!

Got my fresh oil, loctite, and cordless ratchet laid out. Carb, spark plug, and feelers will be here Saturday.

Oops - I guess I need to resize pics before posting them. sorry for the huge pics.

At first I thought the fender might have been twisted, but it's not that. I can't even sort out what I'm looking at here.

I can tell by the pallet and dinky straps that they don't have a pallet or box to ship in after full assembly.

These bikes are packed well from china and still get a lot of abuse and damage from shippers but that packing never had a chance and the bike isn't properly supported.

I see it's still in the shippers truck and I'm betting it wasn't sent out that way.

I'm going to tell them to ship the replacement unassembled and refund the difference.

They had a special going on with assembly where it worked out to like $50. I figured even subpar assembly would be something I could redo without having to figure out how everything goes on. I was wrong. If I'd bought unassembled, I'd be at least test riding by this time tomorrow.

Now I'm looking at... weeks? I assume they're going to have to have this one all the way back before they ship another. I'm also factoring in some time for whining and complaining.

I think that's a good idea, It should come in metal frame and it assembles quicker than you think.

I watched a shipper tear up my bikes packaging and slightly scratch my case with his forklift, I was about to get sideways on that idiot.

If you run into any questions these guys will get you through but most of us were surprised at how it just comes together.

They arent that much work to assemble in the first place . The hardest part is getting the forks slid down and the front wheel on. After that it is just rear shock and a few small parts anyway.

I bought a dirt bike stand last night at Harbor Freight, and while I was at it treated myself to color coded metric sockets so I could wrench faster. Got a special little tool cart lined up for specific tools - got specialized stuff down to cable lube.

It's like I prepared a nursery and didn't get a baby :<

or slide a jack up under the bike it will raise the frame and not the rear tire... makes it super easy to put the shock bolt in
