Fixing Flats in the Boonies
Hello, I have a Hawk 250 that I mostly ride in the dirt and I also mostly ride alone. What do most of you dirt riders carry for taking care of flats off-road? I'm thinking about carrying spare tubes (front and rear), levers and a small pump, or perhaps just a patch kit, levers and a pump. The only other dirt-biker I talked to said he just puts some kind of slime in the tube--I'm a little wary of squirting stuff in the tube.
I checked FAQ but couldn't find anything on this subject, so if the thread exists, please point me to it. Thanks.

just carry one tube..a 19"...fits in both 18 and 21" tyres..
puncher kit is ok...till you have puncher that can't be patched.. On my ADV bike I carry 2 8" levers / 19" tube / puncher kit / pump.... Dirt bike I carry nothing..I Tubliss's front and rear.. You can buy a bag to fit on the front fender that has tyre lever pockets and will hold a tube and repair kit... forget the slime...if it dosn't work it comes out the hole makes the tube unpatchable.. then you pull the tube out and it is so sticky ever bloody stone & bit of crap sticks to it while you are trying to patch it... ..

Back in my dirt bike days, I carried a tube and a patch kit along with a double action bicycle pump. Those pump on both strokes and move a lot of air. Most pumps on work on one stroke and don't move much air.
Something like this. It comes with a frame mount and may work on a moto. https://www.amazon.com/DOKO-Flexible...language=en_US |

Thanks all for the quick replies. I'm going to get the 19" tube and the pump. I just found and bought the fender kit Pete mentioned. No slime for me! - Oorah
