This one looks like it grabs the tires, possibly? Cheap too..

Do they help with winter cold starts or just keep them dry?

If I stored mine outside, I'd definitely have one. I've passed up so many bike deals because they let it sit out in the weather year-round and it ruined the plastics and seat upholstery.

I bought one of these and it is a year old now and still in good shape. Granted it is in the shade all but 2-3 hours a day. So far no rips or tears. I just figured when I bought it I could replace it once a year. I am confident it will make it through year two.

I know Fontana gets some crazy wind and I wouldn't recommend any bike cover to be used in windy conditions, especially if it's for a lightweight dual sport. Be careful to uncover the bike if you are expecting wind, my SSR has hit the ground on two occasions in moderately windy conditions while covered during unexpected wind storms.

In calm weather though I would also recommend the cheap Amazon nylon covers. They do a good job keeping the bike dry and shaded.

Somebody gave me a RAINX cover a few years back and it's been pretty good. I had some other cheapo's I got here and there that the sun and wind killed.

I never thought it might get knocked over. Usually the wind rips them up and starts winding it like rope. I think I might just make a motorcycle shed/storage bin.

I find an aging, fat, Italian anchor keeps the bikes quite stable under many adverse conditions.

Anchor doesn't look rusty so it must be well soaked. Maybe with alcohol?
