Hawk for skills test.

I don't know if anyone has done this or not yet. Next Saturday going to use my hawk to do my skills test for a State Trooper/examiner, At a DOT scale house beats paying Harley Davison $350 plus 4 nights in a motel and meals. over 1k to get err done. Which was my DMV's only suggestion even after I asked if there was a state cop in the area that could do it she just snapped NO!!!. (Ten minutes later I was standing in front of one that could). He is as excited as me probably going to be more playing then Testing but whatever we got to do....2 old guys busting China wheelies in a scale house is what it will probably come down to HAHAHAHA...

The hawk seems great for that. I would not want to try on a 600 lbs + harley.

Yea I have mine set where it crawls about walking speed Idling in first. So I doubt there will be a problem. Although I will be sure to ask for my level 1 sticker after inspection. HAHAHAHA Hope My steer and drive weigh out ok and they don't ask for my BOL because I used it when I dumped my load. my IFTA sticker got lost in the mail. I will be sure to let them know my truck self identifies as a HAWK 250. The jokes will be fun as well....

Hundreds? I paid like $40.00 at the DMV and it was just a small cone course that took about 15 minutes..

I got use to the stock clutch on my Magician and can just creep in first

I got my endorsement after 5 years of rumling the roads for probably 40k miles in 1500 and 1600cc Kawasaki Vulcans. Then I took the M/C class at the local community college for my endorsement.

I did mine at a motorcycle safety foundation place, they provided everything but boots, the driving sideways rain during the 2nd day was warm atleast, got a waiver, and just took that to the DMV. $210 with tax for the class and a license replacement fee plus i think $8 for the endorsement

I got my motorcycle endorsement when I was 18. I took the written test then went out to the parking lots and did a figure 8 and was good to go.

Those MC courses at colleges and such are only to get the waiver. You can still just take a street legal bike or scooter to the local DMV and do the cone course and have an unrestricted endorsement within an hour..

I have a real-ID Class A CDL with X and M endorsements I've been through every little system they have.

This is a DMV certified examiner, So its the same as doing the DMV test. I took the written at the DMV. Because of where I am at to get to the nearest DMV to take the skills because not all do it would be 130miles one way. So a 260 mile trip just to get an appointment to drive the cones because they don't answer the phones. Then another 260 mile trip on test day given only 1 day a week or 1 day every other week for 520 miles total. So they have allowed state cops the right to become skills examiners for the remote areas like where I am so we don't have to deal with all the hassles. Just so happens there Office is at the scale house here.
