if it was instant then the rear tire probably spun on the rim when it got some good traction and ripped the tube at the valve. i have a 2016 with oem tubes almost 3000 miles. some time last year the front was flat when i went to ride and i put a little fix a flat in it and told myself i need to order tubes but its still holding so maybe not.

I was actually decelerating from a 55zone and had about 50mph when it happened. So I find it hard to believe the rim would spin. But I just have the good inner tubes and rim liners coming in together with a new set of Shinko 700 dual sport tires. I have about 2700 miles on mine before this happened.
