Just to update this post, the jet kit from Sigma that I posted a link to does not come with the correct main jets. I contacted them and they are working an update for the kit. I think if anyone is looking to dial in there TT250 a VM26 Mikuni carb is the way to go.

Which VM26 You are reffering to?
A real VM26 on photo 1?
Or a KEIHIN clone named Mikuni (crazy?!?!?!), photo 2?

The TT doesn't have the weird pilot jet so you should be able to dial in the pilot jet - that would and is the only real change between the 3 versions.

So NO you don't need the mikuni as that is just like the Keihin but differnt jet threads and if the TT has common Keihin jets then the Mikuni replacement is just going sideways rather then anything forward.

Both stock carbs are fine and if you really want to improve you are better off with a PE30 or other smooth bore carb

A mikuni clone is fine. Having the ability to adjust the mixture screw is important if doing mods like an exhaust and air box modifications. The stock Keima on the TT250 doesnt have a mixture screw.

It does have a mixture screw. It will be hidden under a plastic or brass plug that you will have to drill out to gain access.

No kidding?! Well I'll be damned! My Suzuki DR200 had a hidden mixture screw that I had to drill out to get at also. Thank you! I will have to take a better look at the carb now that I know this.
