BMS 250 or Bashan Enforcer or db08 Storm

I talked to Don at APMC...I am torn between BMS Bashan 250, and the Bashan Enforcer 250. I know the Storm has a counter balanced engine, and that would be a good choice. Some of the guys that post here have said the non counter balanced engine, after some break in is a not a problem. I think my first choice for myself would be the storm, and the coin flip comes for my wife, who desire a lower seat height. Any thoughts or flip a coin? There is another post regarding the same issue, and thanks to all that have posted. Flip coin? Thanks again!

If you need the lower seat height then the Storm would be the best choice.

The storm has smaller wheels so will sit a couple of inches lower than the Enforcer or BMS 250.

Now after calcune's video regarding the Extreme, I am really torn. The extreme has less ground clearance. The cast rims are appealing. Most of our riding will be off road.

I just got a storm, ive put mabye 10km on it so far. My opinion is its an awsome machine. Plan on getting another storm and gonna have to decide on a third storm or an enforcer. My pop, my brother and myself want to do long trail rides around Pine lands. Storm is awsome, imo.

Generally, for off road riding, the cast wheels will be less than ideal. Spoke rims are still prevalent in off roading because they are more "flexible" and thus will not crack apart under hard use. If they do get damaged, they can generally be trail fixed by bending them back into shape where a solid cast rim will just be broken. The cast single piece wheels are more ideal for on-road conditions.

I think it is down to either counter balanced or non counter balanced engine choice. That would be the storm or the bms250. It is hard to believe in our area with all the farming that there is no local dealers that sell the china bikes. There is one dealer in Salt Lake. When the decision arrives, I will post some pictures.

You will find very little difference in the two engines ,and the non counterbalanced is in most of our bikes on this site with pretty much zero issues .The counterbalanced has a chain running the balancer which has given some grief if I am remembering correctly .

The Storm has no problem getting lower to the ground with it's adjustable fork height, seat mod and a $70 shock replacement will drop the rider position a solid 4-6 inches depending on how extreme you want. For off road use just don't jump it off stuff and it's fine.

We're very happy with our BMS CRP250s. We got one for each of us last fall. We were really pleased with the quality of the bikes, the build quality, etc.

And, boy...they both run sweet! Start right up, run smooth, no back firing or roughness.

Be aware, though, that the seat height is NOT 28 inches, as stated. It's closer to 33-34. I had to modify my seat so that it was a better height for me. Hubby fits his just fine.
