I would call UPS. Don't let it slip through the cracks before it's too late.

I agree with jerryhawk. The damage would really irritate me. Too bad that you ended up with problems. I would be frustrated as well.

Sounds like you're getting the same "no answer/runaround" we all get after damaged goods are delivered... by chance, did you order from that putz "Manny"?!?

I think it's time to get everyone involved to get the vendor to step up and do their job... file claims with UPS and the Credit Card/PayPal companies... be prepared for how fast and how many calls you will get after filing a claim also be prepared to "defend your Honor", as the vendor will feel you are a "scumbag just trying to get a free bike"

Do everything to protect yourself. Who cares if they ask you to not file a claim. File it. File one with UPS. File one with Paypal. You have made attempts to correct the issue and given then reasonable time to respond, to which they haven't. That is all Paypal needs in order to open a claim. With the damage so extensive, they owe you a new bike or a full refund. No question about it.

I dont understand. So for the first few days, vendor wont return my calls. Now that I have started the process of a claim with UPS, all of the sudden the vendor wants to send me parts? If I buy a new bike, I want a new bike. I can understand small things, like the rear pass footpeg being bent, things like that can be bent back easily. But when there is huge damage, why would a vendor want to send parts? Its not his fault or my fault UPS dropped the bike. Thats what insurance is for. So you want me to replace my frame? Whats to do with the VIN number? sigh....

I agree when there is that much damage they should replace the whole bike especially if there is frame damage. See what UPS does when they come by to inspect the bike damage.

It's all sleezeball tactics. They will try and wait you out to see if you give up so it doesn't cost them anything. Lots of businesses do this kind of thing to some degree, but txpowersports is renowned for this. Since you didn't take it laying down they are going to leap at the chance to take the easiest/cheapest way out for them. You do what you can to get the best outcome for you. Don't trust them to have your best interest in mind. They are at the mercy of the financing company, and if you really wanted to they could force a chargeback on the merchant for services not rendered. Chargebacks are bad for them on multiple levels.

Both top and front motor mounts are bent. Left bottom front frame is dented and scratched to hell and back. Its almost impossible to determine if the frame is in fact bent (but for sure damaged) until I get the motor off of it. I see a problem with this because I already got the bike titled in my name, etcetc. I already cleaned the bike up, added a ton of aftermarket parts. I want to RIDE, not be dealing with shady vendors....thank God for Chinariders for all the tips, help and insight. You guys rock!

You probably don't have any real frame damage like alignment. It's hard to tell from the picture. If not, maybe If they would send you all the other parts and offer some kind of partial refund it wouldn't be so bad. Knowing there track record I would get my hopes up.

Megadan and jerryhawk, and others, are right. "Sleezeball tactics!" Too bad you don't have the time, and a closer distance, to take the bike to the seller, get an audience. However, reviews, and pictures like yours, and updates on this site, might have a negative impact on purchasers from this seller. Does the seller care? Maybe not. All we are is a numbers game! That is sad. If I were in your position, I would be spitting nails as my grandfather would say. I hope you get a resolution!

Sorry so late posting

I met a guy named “Chuck” at work. I asked him if he was “Stuck”. He just gave me a weird look.

I’m thinking he IS stuck and just doesn’t know it!

I’m sure everyone who read that post was like, “Manny strikes again “. Sigh...having dealt with Manny, I do not envy you. Sleezeball tactic that Dan mentioned is putting it mildly. He’s very well protected by the policies in the fine print when you bought the bike. I opened a dispute too in hopes of getting some essence of a refund, even $35 for the battery I had to buy. My bank actually ruled in his favor...yup; I lost. I didn’t even get that $35.

He’s the king of “being in a meeting”. He did the same with me. He was never available and wouldn’t return phone calls. He also told me to send him the parts. This is total BS. The buyer of a brand new item has to take the parts off and then pay out of their own pocket to ship the part to him. It’s a double loss for the buyer. Then, the buyer has to sit there and wait to see IF the parts are sent, and if they are the correct parts. It sucks.

I feel for you my friend. I hope you get it sorted out.

For what it’s worth, dealing with manny has taught me valuable lesson. If the reviews are bad, there’s probably a reason. Last night, I ordered an item online from a vendor. Then, it dawned on me to check the vendors reviews; they were mostly quite negative. I cancelled the order and just found a new vendor for a few bucks more. Sometimes the cheapest price is a trap.

You might have some luck here with PayPal. But, I honestly would not get your hopes up.

Hey All,

So there is a link (pretty sure on Dan's sticky for Hawk 250s) to a LED rear brake light bulb from Super Bright LED company. Please note: That link/bulb is an outdated, and no longer made bulb. They discontinued it due to the base breaking from the LED. I bought one and within 40 miles it broke apart. I spoke with them this morning, and they informed me there is a new version that has a stronger base. The link is below.
