6th gear

If them lifan 229cc engines had a sixth gear theyd be hard for Japanese bikes to compete with considering theyre price. Bike performs amazing, dont want ti change sprockets because it could use a little top and botton end. I thought i read somewhere that theres a 6th gear kit that replaces the kick starter?

No idea why that pics upside down. I rode few miles down beach, was pretty cool.

Yep it’s possible and dependent on the motor it can have a funny gear pattern or others are already 6spd if OHC
There’s a $7 production cost difference between 5-6 gears

Yep these bikes really need a 6th gear, gears need to be evenly split and little more rpm split, and a lower 1st gear. You just can't gear these things for rocky trails and hwy running. Gear is for sure one of their down falls.
