Backwards?
I'm sure this has been covered before in some previous post but I have to ask. Should the chain block on the TT250 have been installed facing the other direction? Is it on backwards from the factory?

Yeah, they installed it backwards lol. I always called them the shark fin, and like a shark fin, it should sweep back. Having it that forward is a good way to snag debris.

Yep mine was on backwards from the factory. TT250 seems to be a decent bike, but there are a few issues. Needs a chain guide that is properly installed and spaced and a better one. The chain guide on my wife's dr200 has a guide on both sides.
Also if you look at the wear on your front sprocket, the off set rear sprocket from the factory is wrong. These bikes need a no off set rear sprocket. I have a 56T on the rear, straight with no spacer. It's perfect and I could even put the snap ring back on. With the stock off set rear sprocket the front sprocket started to wear on one side, yes I had the rear wheel aligned properly. Granted the off set sprocket seems to work but it's not right. Mine is running good, just rode 40 miles in the woods. 300+ now almost getting ready for the 2nd oil change and valve set. |

Yep. All the TT250's I've seen, including ours and my neighbors, have the shark fin in the "Scoop crap up and throw it into the chain and sprocket" position right out of the crate.
