I waiting on the actual numbers. I don't know how much mileage will be affected. Might need to run a higher octane fuel.
Let us know after a few more miles. Allen

The millage will be the same, or increase if anything. This is how allot of the efi tuner chips give you more power and millage.
One question though. Are these boxes just plugging right in, or are you modifying it? |

My box was a direct plug in very simple but other bikes may have a different CDI plug.
On my bike I could use some fresh fuel since that fuel is about 6-8 months old and I still need to get it out on the open road and run it to see. Looking at the weather forecast is looks like rain and temps at most in the high 60's for us for the next 10 days or so. |

Direct plug in literaly pop the old one out and pop the new one in, not sure if this is the case for all bikes but from what I've seen there are 2 common plugs, the split 4pin and 2pin connector and the all in one 5/6 pin connector which AMR sells an adapter for an extra $10.. Either way I dont think any rewiring should be needed..
I am going to take it to work this morning and wind the heck out of it so I'll keep ya'll posted as to what I find out...

Yeah, I'm waiting for a top speed report. Let's hear a before and after. Getting close to top-speed isn't always an accurate gauge of exact top speed. This is exciting. Thanks to you guys for being the test dummies (no offense  )

AMRracing.com it's the stage 3 cdi for a Honda crf 50- 230, Porterz posted the actual link in his Magic box post/thread but if you look up AMR you'll find it, they don't sell that much other stuff..

Thanks, I never saw the actual part number.
It makes you wonder how much design is put into it since it fits a wide range of bikes. Allen

Just to be clear...this one box is a direct plug-in on both the HiBird 250 and the Lifan GY5? Both are mentioned in this thread as a direct fit, correct? I know an adaptor has been mentioned, but it hasn't been needed yet, if I understand correctly. I hate to ask a question I think might be obvious, but with different people having different bikes, and some not having them listed in their signature, it's easy for me to lose track of who has what. :? Edit: Just ignore this post, I guess. I see TC has the GY, so it has NOT been tried on the HiBird yet. See what I mean about confused?

The Hibird uses a 6 pin but it is a different plug type than this box. Molded different. Still 4pin+2pin. I posted photo's of Hibird CDI plug. Topic "Hi-Bird CDI"
