TBR7 replacement stator and CDI?
Anyone sourced these parts? Can't even find them on TaoTao's website. Some of you may have seen my DOA TBR7 thread. Those are the only things I can thing to change out to get her going.
Any help is appreciated. Johnny |

Wow bro... you are still chasing that fix.
Assumed you contacted them and shipped it back and either got a new one or called it quits. Cannot believe you are still stuck with a $1,300 paper weight. There were some really good suggestions on how to recover you money or work with the seller, I'm guessing you either did not explore them or struck out. Not really answering your question here ( apologies for that ). Just sucks to hear that this is really a "luck of the draw" situation given I got the exact same bike around the time you received yours. Good luck |

Universal DC CDI - hook up the extra black wire off the side.
That makes the need for stator a gone burger.... |

Unless the trigger for the stator is kaput, then it wouldn't make any difference, and if the stator is already bad, all you have then is a total loss ignition, which I'm sure isn't what he wants.
I'd make some measurements and give VMC Chinese parts a call. |

Tested the AC voltage at the stator? About 75v AC from as close as you can get to the stator working your way up the wire to CDI
Red n white wire |
