Anything larger than a 250cc?

Are there any bikes from China that are sold in the USA that are larger than 250cc? I see the 250's put out around 16ish HP. I'd like more HP(if available) to be able to move my big buttocks around better. I currently have a 1985 Kawasaki KLR 600 (26.78 HP) that I purchased in 1988. The KLR is a bit of a pig though. I'm a newbie to Chinese bikes. The popular chinese brands look pretty good to me for the price

.

SSR has the SR300S and SR450S. The SR250S puts out 25.8 HP.

CSC, also the Pitster, once they start selling them, will be easy to register for street use.

I'm surprised that no chines manufacturer has made a 450 dual sport. for the US from the factory street legal. a few all ready have 450s in some adv bikes and dirt bikes. So I know they could do it. a street legal 450 dual sport would sell like hot cakes here. I know I would buy one.

Xingyue used to offer a 400 in 4 different bikes in the US that were EPA/DOT legal for 49 states. Two were 'adv' bikes and 2 were dual sports. Pitster even rebadged one of the dual sports. The problem was the engine had a fatal flaw of some kind. There was no fix from what I remember. A member bought a Pitster used, and was all kinds of angry at Pitster for not honoring the warranty. I kind of understood his logic, but he did buy it used. The bikes stayed around for a few years, but other than 'Fastdoc' who bought the Pitster, I don't recall any other member who had any of the 400 in any form, and not sure why it was decided the 400 was doomed. Wade Liu of Excalibur Motorsports carried one of the adv bikes, and he confirmed with me much later on the fatal flaw as he had to attempt to warranty and eventually refund the 2 he sold, but we here on CR discussed these promising bikes, and how they were no good. Shame as they held great promise of things to come.

As far as CCW goes, they sell the Asiawing 450cc OEM street bike in certain markets but not here; the same bike sold by SSR here in off-road form as mentioned.

I watched a couple commercials on it the bike dose not look bad. I'm impressed with the specs of the engine its on par with Japanese 450s as far as power is concerned. now all they need to do is stick that engine in a dual sport and get it to weigh around or under 300lbs. And they can have my money.

I'm surprised there is no 650. All the big makers still have carb air-cooled 650 dual sports to clone from that are just as rugged as the CG 250..

I'm 260lb and 6'3 and the only problems I ever had on a Hawk or Magician was mountain grades in warm weather and keeping up on highways and interstates.. With closer sprocket ratio mod they still scream in the sixties.. But so does a CRF 250 in sixth gear in early seventies..

The reason that there's no 650 is that it'd be a niche piece. The only demand would be in North America and Europe (and possibly Australia), and it would be competing with all of the used stuff on the market. We get the stuff they make, not because they're making it for us, but because they're global products. You wouldn't sell a Chinese 650 to much of Africa, Asia, or South and Central America, where they're selling most of their stuff, because a 250 is about as big as you'd need. I'm frankly surprised that they're making 450s.
