Got my new Red Hawk today!
I just took delivery of my brand new what I believe is a 2019 Red Hawk I fixed the TBR7 it now runs great rides and tracks perfect. It dropped in the back of my truck at 2:40pm and I had it started and it’s first shake down ride at 9:00pm. That included my driving it to my buddies shop and picking my nephew up from school.
What’s the deal with the Chinese bikes not having any assembly instructions? It wasn’t that bad with the TBR7 because it was way more assembled than the Hawk, but I was a little freaked out when I opened that box and it contained a Bag full of nuts bolts and washers! So I just started putting together what I new went where it was supposed to. Abra kadabra it was put together with loctite and grease in all the right places. It was a lot faster adjusting valves the second time around. I’m really going to love this new Hawk. Duck man out! |

Congrats on the new Hawk. Badly translated Chinese instructions would of made it more difficult to assemble. lol

As Jay recently learned, Hawk assembly is alot more involved than the TBR7. But since I had already done it once, no worries.

ok here is a pic. I think. I must be some kind of masochist I love putting these bikes together. I like problem solving. So that must be the attraction to these Chinese bikes. I mean seriously you have to be a gluten for punishment to like putting these bikes together that being said, guys like JerryHawk, MegaDan, Oneleggedrider, make it so enjoyable as well as many others I don’t have time and space to call out. You guys all of you, make these projects so fun. Because they have all the answers to anything that mite come up.
Big shout-out to all of you wonderful guys that help everyone with all of their crazy projects and problems. I salute all of your experience and help. Thank you Duckman out. |

Sure you can go out and buy a bike all put together and ready to ride but what fun would that be. lol I looked at my Hawk as like buying a base kit that you can customize to your liking. I know thee is no one near me that has anything close to what I have. Funny thing is when ever I go somewhere that I'm parked next to a bunch of other bikes guess which one everyone is looking at and asking questions.

I actually like the fact that the Hawk comes less assembled. Less things I have to take apart to do correctly before I re-assemble it.
Welcome to the Hawk club.

Thank you Duckman for the for the props and being included with 2 masters of the caliber of Dan and Jerry.
One of my major weaknesses is not being able to correctly diagnose a bike that isn't setting right in front of me, always has been. When Jay's TBR7 was having trouble with the coil all I could do was shoot every possible answer I could think of (related to the symptoms) at him because it was 30 minutes away and I was stuck at home in a wheelchair. As soon as he was able to get the bike to me though (after 2 weeks), I figured it out within 30 minutes of testing the ignition system.

In other words, nitropropane works if the combustion process is happening so fast that it's almost constant, but if that process slows any it hurts performance because it's less combustible.

That’s exactly what I experienced when I rode my bike today. It seemed to sputter and cut out not real bad, but noticeable. Now I have to drain my tank. My buddy talked me into putting it in my tank. Live and learn. Thanx Rider
