Initial Start up issue Apollo RFZ

Hello. Just got my Apollo RFZ 125 in today. Got it assembled. After starting the bike revs super high, I tried adjusting the idle screw on the side of the carve per the handbook, but that didn’t do anything. I believe it’s running lean as it smells bad and the pipes started glowing. When I saw the poorest get red I immediately shut it off.

Any ideas as to what’s going on?

Its your throttle cable. First I would take the carb apart, your slide is stuck. It is the round piece that moves up and down when you twist and release the throttle. If the slide is not all the way down in the carb it will cause the motor to rev. Either that or the throttle cable is too tight and pulling the slide up.
