Doh! SLD GyY 200CC RPM ISSUE

Im currently working a 2008 SLD GY 200cc on/off road bike. Cant seem to figure out an issue of it reving to 5k rpms and wont climbin any higher. Every gear same thing. Gets up and then falls on its face. No bog or dying out at full throttle just stutters at 5k anything below 5k and its great. So far I have done valve clearance, cleaned carbs and passageways, checked cdi regulator changed oil... Seems like the engine has a safety feauture or something preventing it from surpassing 5k rpms. Im stumped. Any help is appreciated.

Is your choke on, or filter super dirty, or exhaust somewhat plugged up? Any of those could be the cause. I've never heard of a limiter like that installed on a CB/CG series, it's about 2k rpm before peak power.

Also, if you have a CV carb, it could be that the diaphragm is torn.

Few “maybe”
Main jet too small
CDI or coil faulty failing at higher rpm
Any China bike around to swap out coil or CDI? Testing etc
