I sent them a question, asking for a shipping quote - I can't see it costing more than USD$10 for a two week delivery.

I never did a top end. I just got my mortorcycle endorsement last week and haven't done a lot of street riding, yet. At 55mph it seemed like it had plenty left. The throttle response was much improved, as well as accelerating faster.

Although my bike is a "Kazuma" it looks the same as the Shineray. It was plug and play with the new CDI, took just a few minutes. I weigh 230 and have a 16/48 sprocket.

I know I went off topic, but thanks for the photos--need to get out that way, buy a Shineray, and tour your country.

As far as the CDI, will the one work? (the one that doesn't cost $500!!! 8O )

Our own 'back_from_death' has the same CDI box as the one on EBAY here on sale in the for sale section (maybe cheaper shipping?):

Just so you guys know, this looks to be the same configuration as the Honda XR's 80cc through 200cc, maybe more models...

Thanks fisherboy3! I have sent you a pm with my details.

I am going to get a Stage 2 from "mblas3" and the Stage 3 from you and will be able to really check the difference between the two. I was planing on getting both from AMR thinking that it would even out the shipping cost but at $500, thought that would be a bit over the top!

That's great, now i'll have both! and be able to give a real review.

fisherboy3, you may want to pm with your details so I can hook up with you tomorrow(no pun intended)

I think that for simplification of certification, most of the manufacturers ended up using the 163 engines, at least in the US. Lifan, Shineray (and the various brands produced by Shineray) seem to favor the 163. I know that a few bikes from a few years ago used the 169 motors here in the US, but not sure how many now.
