Kpt 450

Just poking around Lifan website and saw this interesting 450 cc water cooled single adv bike.

Yea I found an old facebook post of it and the kp350 from Feb of 2019 that American Lifan made (that called it the kpt500 in the post oops.) https://www.facebook.com/AmericanLif...04195823079443

Couldn't find any more info on it in english so I emailed American Lifan asking about it recently. They replied back "The KPT450 is planned for US market. We are working on the certification and testing. Please stay tuned. Hopefully we could release more information by end of this year."

So I guess it's waiting EPA testing. Pretty awesome looking bike though, has highly similar specs to the Zongshen RX4 but isn't ugly.

They have been teasing us with the KPT350 street-fighter bike and 450 KPT adv bike for a while now. The Lifan 'lifanmotos' home site is a good site to periodically check from time to time to see what bikes they are releasing. However, we, and American Lifan, are captives to the EPA/DOT gods, so patience is a virtue, even if it feels like a painful curse waiting for some of the more intriguing bikes

The KPT looks a lot more like an ADV bike than the RE Himalayan. I like the way the KPT has no "beak" over the front wheel.

Lifan has a bunch of cool bikes I hope come here. The KP350 twin I'd love to get my hands on.

Yeah, I like the KP350 too. That would be my choice. Last i heard they are waiting on EPA certifications for the KPT450 and KP350.

I have read them mentioning the 'beakless' fender in one of their Chinese site's press releases, so they knew what they were doing . I also really like the look and like the fact they made an effort NOT to be a BMW clone!
