Moto, please post the results of the changes.
With respect to the screwdriver, if you can't find one that is a good fit, just buy the closest length/handle configuration to what you want and grind the blade to fit. I have to do that for screwdrivers for shotguns occasionally. |

danfandango,
sadly nothing at home depot worked https://ibb.co/gZTxX51 (^^closet thing that would fit) ^^ its not the size of the bit, its the position of idle adjustment screw that makes it impossible (difficult) to access while on the bike... I can only loosen it 1/3 and tighten 1/3 due to its nested position on the carb...and of course you can only play with once warm so I realize my error and I'll rectify it in the future - before installing the idle mixture screw take a dremel and make it a star head... This would have made much easier for me. |

I have not looked... but could you use a length of rubber tubing. Jam the tubing onto the end of the adjustment screw and let it hang down. If this adjustment is at the front of the float bowl, there are long adjustment screws that may work. I have seen some in various colors with knurled knobs at the lower end. I think I saw one that would fit onto the original adjusting screw to the same end.

I've held the screw a couple of different ways. Both involve a regular screw tip that you put into a holder. The tips have a 1/4" end on them. I've taped them into sockets and installed them on a thumb wratchet. Other times I've taped the bit right onto a 1\4" wrench. This process allows room to get the 10mm wrench in to tighten the nut. I've also seen where some have epoxied the bit into a wire nut. Links below for what tools I'm talking about. I'm not suggesting to buy the stuff. Just showing what I've used that I already had.
