2020 Boom Vader No More Popping when cold
FINALLY got round to removing the stock carb and re-jetting it with a kit I got from 6 Sigma Racing in Phoenix.
Did the normal dremel to get the slot less screws out, removed the stock main jet that it came with ( a 78 by the way), replaced it with a Keihin #85 main and they sent me a 38 Pilot jet (mine has a 36) (which unfortunately did not fit. really odd ball pilot jet)). popped the cap covering the low speed mixture screw, set it to about 1 3/4 turns out(it was at just over 3/4 turn out). chucked everything back together (no body panels) and it fired right up with just about NO choke needed. NO more cold start popping before it warms up. I took it for a quick ride and it is a much better running, throttling stock-ish bike than before. Just needed a minor tweek of the low speed mixture and idle speed and that was it. Glad I found them on the flee-bay. Works a treat. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Boom-Vader-...72.m2749.l2649 The folks at 6 Signa did say that there are variants of the stock Keihin carb on these bikes and not all Pilot jets are available. I'm surprised, at your elevation I would have thought those jet sizes to be too small. But hey, if it works, run with it!
