Shineray has two, very cool bikes coming soon--a water cooled 250cc off-roader and a 250 dual sport (coming soon this way, but already in China-at least the dual sport).

Is this the one ???

yeah it does look like a bit nicer overall build.

I myself have been getting a bit concerned over this damn fuel and food price crap and doubt very much that we will be spending any money on newer bikes anytime soon.(maybe summer of 09)

That is the one - I couldn't get a link set up - yeah we have it here too food and fuel going through the roof we all live in a global village now. I'm pretty damn sure its got to do with the banks who have just printed money by lending out huge amounts of dollars to homeowners and thats what you get when you print money - inflation. Bugger

lol or how about the major U.S. oil execs in front of the senate not having a clue how many MILLION dollars they make yearly. or the reason they make a $50000.00 PROFIT, not gross, each MINUTE.
I worked as a roughneck /motors/ derrick on the big Iron drillin (remote exploratory outpost) Nat. gas..For Conecco Philips...my rig alone cost $25000 daily lease not including $10000 drilling fluids daily and $50000 monthly subcontractor costs...there was 75 rigs running like this around me my whole rig carreer.
After they spend about 2-3 billion(yearly exploration budget) on drilling they shut down the patch and just pump profits (coast on drilled pads) no fresh development, just survey/ service.... It cost about a million and a half to make 15 to 20 million in profits from each flowing hole (in this particular zone).

Oh shi7, I thought that was $6000 USD, at least its not-- but for $4000 they are going to have to smooth out the glitches a bit more than I can tell from those pics.....yeah I saw a used 2008 KLR 650 with few miles on it for $4500 OR best offer in Canadian dollars.......

Yep, at that price, they've edged into Jap territory. No longer worth the hassle.

At least Shineray has some sort of fledgeling racing program. A radial 4 valve engine sounds like more Honda technology again. Don't think they've paid the engineering and testing dues to expect those prices. :x

yup, great looking bikes though, I wouldnt pay more than $2000 for the 250cc.....the 200cc goes for over $2000, WTF, I paid $900 for mine and I doubt there is a $1500-$1600 difference in the quality......between the Shineray and mine? :?

I wouldn't read too much into the price - this company ordered a limited number of these so I would expect the price to drop quite a bit.
