TBR7 Swing arm bolt.

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you knew a good place to get a replacement swing arm bolt for a tao tbr7. I returned from a normal ride only to find the head of my swing arm bolt was missing. I've check the normal parts outlest with only one saying they have it. I spent the $30 for it but I've heard nothing back. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not going to be much help, but I’ll tell you what I know. When I first got my tbr7 the swing arm bolt was actually the wrong size for the swing arm bushings. Further investigation revealed that the bushings through the frame was also to small leaving the assembler no choice but to install a swing arm bolt that was too small creating a lot of free play on the swing arm bolt. I believe at the time I tried the rear axle bolt and found that to be the size that fit the swing arm bushings the best. Just as you found, I couldn’t locate a source for the swing arm bolt. Luckily for me I work where we have an exceptional machine shop, so I had a bolt made. So, compare you axle bolt to swing arm bolt, and if you find that it is the same size, start searching for an axle bolt, and you may have more result.

Good luck, hopefully someone else chimes in with more info

Since I purchased it I thought something may be wrong as my friend also got one and my swing arm had more play than his. The rear axle bolt was a bit to large to fit into the reference column and the frame. I may pull his apart and see if his setup appears any different than mine in size. I really appreciate your quick response any idea are helpful.

I dunno if this will help, but the brozz swingarm "upgrade kit" fits the tbr7, brozz 250s, and hawks using your old axle bolt. So I would have to assume the bolts are all the same diameter for all three bikes, and probably the same length, certainly close enough to work.

Use some locktite on the nut too.

Those damm bolts like to snap. Try to get one that is threaded at both sides.

Brozz250.com gets $7.50 for the bolt and they ship really fast. However they charge a pretty high shipping charge so you're better off buying any other parts you need at the same time to make it more cost effective.

That tt250 suggestion might just be what does it. I've got a set from them ordered now. Thank you all for replying so quickly.

The TT250 item is the way to go. Since both ends are threaded, the stress on the shaft is different since the axle acts as a stud on both sides. Just do not forget to order the cupped washers for both sides when you order it.

I dont know how the OP handled the problem, but due to this thread I just recieved my order from CSC with a new bolt (stud), 2 nuts,2 washers, and two dust caps... so now I'm $26.89 lighter and have a project to fix something that isn't broke. Lol

Hello, can you guys point me in the right direction to find that bolt? I also have a good amount of movement in the rear swing arm and would like to eliminate it if possible.

I have gone to the Brozz web site and can find what looks like a stock bolt but no upgraded versions.

Thanks in advance.

Csc's website has the upgraded stud style.

However, if its excessive play in your swingarm, you may have worn bushings. I dont know how interchangeable those are between the Csc tt250/ hawk/TBR7, etc, but it might be a good idea to buy those too while you're replacing stuff.

The bike is brand new only has 118 miles on it so far only about 20ish miles has been on "rough" terrain.

I will for sure be going and getting all the parts to see if I can't get this issue figured out. Thank you very much for the info.
