Actual Lifan LF-200-B mileage
The manufacturer claims about 103 mpg on this model. That seems kind of high and they have an enduro LF-200-GY that supposedly gets 120 mpg. I was wondering if anyone out there actually owns one and can say what they actually get.

Realistic is 65-80mpg. I think they are calculating kms/gal or something.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure how I ended up putting this in the scooters section. I guess I wasn't being careful.

By law the only gas mileage a manufacturer can claim in US marketing/advertising is the official results during the EPA testing.
That doesn't mean that those official numbers are what the manufacturer is reporting in this case - it wouldn't be the first time a China bike or its seller didn't comply with US requirements. But if those are official US EPA gas mileage numbers, remember: "Your Mileage May Vary"! tcs |

Actually I was asking about both the GY and the B. Both are supposed to be street legal. But the point I will remember is that absolutely nobody agreed with the manufacturer's claims of 100+ mpg.
I'm doing my research right now. I am looking mostly at the LF-200-B, but was curious why the LF-200-GY enduro would have better mileage. I don't actually own either. I am really confused, but it looks like the LF-200-B is a good bike from what I am reading here. Thanks. |

I would say that the mileage is going to be about the same. The street bike may see slightly better due to is street tires and better aerodynamics.
