I would make an adapter and use the airbox. If you go through any deep creeks I would worry about the little filter stuck right on the back of the carb. I have modified my airbox to allow more air in and like it up high and under the seat. Maybe someone who has adapted it to the stock airbox can post what they did in my home fabrication thread.

I am running a Uni filter on mine.
BTW unless you have done head work, exhaust, just stick with the PE28. The PE30 will be a complete P.I.T.A. to tune as it will be oversized. |
