Longbo Adventure 150cc - No Headlights

Anyone have trouble shooting experience with the kill switch circuit on the 150cc China scoots?

"Trouble"??

What is your exact "trouble"?

Won't start?

Won't stop?

Falling off the handlebars?

Shocking you and making you squeal like a little girl when you touch it?

Kill switch problem is usually a ground problem. Follow the ground wire from the kill switch to the point where it attaches to the frame. Clean away any corrosion with a knife or sand paper where the ground wire attached to the frame.

Long story, short.... The scoot would turnover but, no spark at the plug. After replacing all ignition components, I still had no spark. I gave up and cut the kill switch wire at the CDI box and now I have spark and the scoot starts and runs. Although it will not shut off with the Key or headlight switch. I'm assuming the headlight switch doubles as kill switch. may be a bad assumption.
I'm thinking I can wire in a run/stop switch to the CDI kill switch wire I cut. It would be nice to actually figure out where the kill switch circuit problem is an fix it right.
I notice that the headlight switch won't turn on the parking lights or headlights when the ignition key is on. But they light up after the scoot is running and the headlight switch, which is new, will not turn off headlights when scoot is running.
