Warm starting problems
hey guys,
been a while but things have been good. this year after a winter sit and the ocasional start/warm-up I'm have a difficult time getting the bike restarted after its warm. mods to date: dropped c-clip one notch, drilled muffler and drilled air box, wrapped headers with header tape.. Bike starts great cold with a little choke but once warmed up it won't start unless I hold throttle WOT. Ideas? molypod |

Sounds like it is too rich. Clogged air filter maybe? Try a new spark plug.

If it's too rich, you ought to move the c-clip back to its original position.

I turned the pilot screw in a full turn and it made a diffrerence before leaving work. I rode home and killed the engine. still wouldn't start without and throttle but I only had to give a 1/4 throttle then it fired.
when I first got the bike it wouldn't idle and was hard to start when cold.. after moving the c-clip the cold start and idle improved and this spring is the first time I've had problems with the starting warm. |
