Is there a link to any videos showing the installation of one of these style coolers?

I’ve seen your dual cooler set up in the threads. Did you consider doing a head style and sump style together? What were your thoughts on that type of set-up? |

I didn't see any point in doing both. Juts pick one or the other.

While in theory it sounds like a great idea, in practical application it's not really going to benefit you as much as you would think. The sump cooler already cools the main oil flow before it gets pushed through by the oil pump, and part of that oil flow immediately goes up to the cylinder head. Sure, it might not be as direct as the head style, which cools it and immediately dumps in on the valves, but the temp difference of the oil between the two is only going to be fairly minimal.

I would love to see how you mounted these valve cover coolers to the bike. I am trying to imagine a good location out of way of damage, but in way of wind.
Thx,

I used 2.5 inch bolts with locknuts on the backside to lower the fender. In left a 2in gap between fender and tree of airflow and added room for the cooler. But it's only a matter of time until I drop it into a big enough hole to brake the fender LOL

I just used a small stack of washers on the back fender mounts to space the rear down enough to buy room for the cooler. To this day it has never rubbed against it. Also, in my opinion, the fender looks a lot better with the front lifted up. I have toyed with cutting my fender, but honestly It isn't necessary. Plus, the cooler is incredibly well protected.
The reason I went with the big cooler is because I knew the fender would block part of it at any given point. Having the larger cooler gave it surface area exposed to airflow and also gave me just that little bit more oil capacity. It is also incredibly well protected in it's current mount location. Even the exposed part of the cooler has the forks themselves protecting them from direct impacts from anything that might be kicked up.

Watched jerryHawks video with it.
These ( https://m.aliexpress.com/item/400128...mend-recommend ) don’t look like they are engine specific the way it’s hooked up, but is it? I ordered a Templar with the 249cc engine and would like to add an oil cooler eventually. Edit: and seeing as there is no pump what forces the oil through the cooler, crankcase pressure? |
