Pulling a cart with a hawk 250

I have been trying to find any information on people pulling a trailer cart with the hawk 250. I know it's probably not the best idea, but I live way out in the country and my kids were wanting to use their hawks for fishing and hauling trash. The trailer is probably a better idea than strapping their fishing poles to their backpacks. Has as anyone figured out how to pull this off or know of a starting point?

All you have to do is figure out how to get a hitch mounted to the bike, make sure it's inline with the rear axle and stays that way through the suspension travel.... no problemo ;-)

Making a hitch would be simple enough. Many simple scooter style hitches simply mount to the swing arm. You could do the same and utilize the rear axle as the main mount point. You would just need to figure out a secondary mount point to keep it at a static height and level. The downside to this method is it can affect how the rear suspension performs/behaves as it will now have extra weight acting on it behind the wheel/axle.

An overlooked thing to considering is that it will limit lean angle with a standard ball hitch. Not a big deal for a cruiser or a goldwing, but on these bikes you can tilt them over quite a bit further and potentially cause issues. Obviously I don't expect people to be trying to lay frame and drag knee while pulling a trailer, but it never hurts to consider.

My friend and I made a gooseneck hitch for our trailer. Attachment was a post on the luggage rack and a rod end was used for the trailer to slip over the post and then a hairpin clip to hold. Was pulled at 100+mph without issue. Your Harbor Freight trailer is OK, just reconfigure the hitch. Good luck.

Barnone has been pulling a Aosom bicycle trailer with his various vehicles through the years. I don't know anything about them nor how he hooks them up. I'm assuming they come with hardware. Post #56 here shows what he pulls;

Member 'Barnone' has had a trailer that he towed with a few of his bikes. From what I recall, he used a bicycle cart and attached motorcycle wheels. He used a CT-70 clone as one of his tow bikes, and I recall he used another bike, but I don't recall which one. I would search through his posts using the search feature, but they were a few years back. Perhaps he would respond to a PM. He is still an active member.
