The Bashan Motomax is similar to the Recon and Brozz, sharing essentially many components except the tires. Brozz and Recon get USD forks, but not the Motomax. They were all 17" rear wheels, 19 front. Limited tire choices, but there are some.

But this year the Recon finally got a 21" front wheel, 18" rear wheel in Army green. The 19" front 17" rear are apparently still on the red black or blue models.

I think he is out of the Recons now.

I bought a Bashan Storm DB-08-250 from APMC (Don Hopper).
He still has a few of them ($1799, plus ~$200for shipping, depending on your location-my shipping was $170).

The Storm has the USD forks. I like mine a lot. It is my dual sport with knobbies.

You could put tires like the Motomax has on the Storm, and you would have USD forks on a supermotard style bike. I also upgraded to a 520 chain/new sprockets. It is a capable offroad setup with comfortable seat height. I definitely can recommend the Storm if Don has any left at shopAPMC

The MotoMax is a good bike. Basically it uses the same engine as the Brozz. If I wouldn't of had the Hawk I would of bought one myself.

Yes indeed, very similar bikes! I like the idea of having just the street wheels already on there, but the guy Jeff from Peace Sports says l used to run a deal where they throw in off road wheel set for discount, so if he still runs that deal, then why not?

Right now I'm considering the Motomax for $2500 before fees, an 09 KLX super moto for $3000 on marketplace, or wait for the Lifan kpx250 (6 speed EFI Enduro)

I like how the Motomax looks and I'm not afraid to do some basic wrenching and tuning

I feel the same way about that. If I didn't have this Grom clone already then I'd have bought that KP Mini lol

I like the simplicity of a single carb 250 supermoto l. There's one in stock locally so I'm gonna go check it out
