hello
hi I'm Ron bought the hawk 250 dlx efi about 2 weeks ago and still haven't ridden it because at 6009rpms the engine cuts out, gotta pop the clutch and feather the throttle to keep her running.

Welcome to the forum!
Sounds like some type of rev limiter fault or something of that nature. You may have better luck getting replies if you post in the dual sport/enduro Hopefully others with the EFI Hawk can provide fixings. Enjoy!

Welcome. You may have a bad CDI. I think that is where the rev limiter resides in a hawk.

Try adjusting the valves. Improper valve clearance can cause all kinds of issues.
