The First 100km Report
I have had the bike about three weeks and just turned 100km. I have only ridden locally since I got it, so if I would get stuck, I'm not too far from home. It also gives me a chance to check everything closely each time I get back from a short trip.
So far, I am extremely pleased with the bike, an HSUN GY200. I haven't noticed anything coming loose, or any large amount of vibration. It runs and handles like a dream. The only things I've done so far is to replace the solenoid (under warranty) and adjust the headlight. I have ordered a smaller rear sprocket from the dealer - should be here this week - and I bought some oil for an oil change this week. It probably doesn't need an oil change now since the dealer changed it before I got it, but I don't know what he put in it, so I'm gonna change it to Pennzoil 10W - 30. I'm a little surprised that I haven't had more trouble than I did, but the bike is an '08 and I really do think the Chinese are making improvements all the time. I know 100km is very, very early, but I'm really loving this bike! With the new rear sprocket, I'll be able to take it out on the road for some longer trips, and I'll let you all know how everything goes. |

Well, I spoke too soon.
Tonight I took a little spin and at about 7-7500 rpms the weld broke that holds the baffle in the exhaust pipe. I'm going to have to find someone with a MIG welder to repair it. That's what I get for shooting my mouth off about how trouble-free the bike has been. |

I know I posted pix before, Squishy, you even remarked how our bikes are sisters. But, I'm always glad to show her off:
![]() The only thing I've done since this picture was taken is to add two mirrors. |
