KE100 v. 200cc China

Has anyone ridden the KE100 from Kawi? How so it compare to 200cc China bike, in terms of acceleration? Thanks!

top speed of 45 but looks like it would be a lot of fun to tool around town on. I wonder if they make an oversived piston and barrel for it

Saw I think a 92 KE 100 in the pawn shop they were asking $800.but I could see it needed alot of work.they said it worked but there was no kick starter on it?, if it was working I might have considered swaping my HSUN for it.lol :P
Parts availability for the KE is better than a China bike and it sat low and looked comfortable on the road.but never taken one for a spin!

Reviewers all say it's slow. But, I don't know if they mean slow compare to a 600cc bike or slow compare to a 200cc. I've read many scooter drivers say their 100cc 2-stroke is a "rocket ship." I guess my point is it depends on your perspective.

I've got an old KE100. Strictly dirt now. Good 'lil put-put but I wouldn't try to street it. Too small for the road and too small for me (6 foot - 230 lbs) but it's been a bulletproof 'lil ride. I've owned it since 1982, my second EVER bike

If I remember correctly the largest CC bike allowed on the expressways is/was 125cc but they may have changed that.

Anyway a 100cc is a 100cc and should really be compared to bikes that are similar IMO.

If a given bike of lesser CC's can hold its own against a larger CC bike that is of similar build (I.E both enduro's) I'd say that is a good comparison also.

As far as I know where Im from any bike over 50cc with manual transmission is a motorcycle, with anything 50cc and under with auto trans is a limited speed motorcycle, pretty sure the KE is allowed anywhere over here, I heard they reach China bike speeds 50-60 mph?

The definition of motorcycle/moped and how big a bike needs to be before it can be ridden on the freeway/interstate varies widely from state to state.
