Just pick this up,lots of questions!
I just got this home,150cc version 05 w/22 miles.I only paid $400 for it. My question is what is the easiest way to get some more power.change sprockets, carb jets, air pod filter? I want to ride on and off road, this thing is sooo slow, maybe I'm too use to my 1300 VTX! any advice?

Don't mean to be to harsh, but that cute little guy is not going to give too much in the area of power. If it is running good, you cant get much more out of it. So have fun or trade it in.

I guess my question is,does the same sproket you guys use on the 200cc work on the 150cc,and also same size carb filter, jets, etc.I know it won't be the fastest 150cc in the world but it seems throttle response is a little slow,I'll have to wait until the weekend to clean carb, plug, tank and lube some stuff. Thanks!

I expect someone else will be able to answer your questions, but I believe for the most part this has many of the same parts. You might want to look up the C-clip modification. That may help if you have hesitation when starting and upon acceleration. Good luck with it.

I think the 150 is only about 13hp. Yes the sprockets are the same. I think the carb and related parts are the same too. Your carb may have a smaller jet.
The easiest power mods are pod filter, jet, opened up exhaust. Also it may seem slow because it is geared so low. Change the sprockets first to about a 46 rear and a 17 front. That will may it feel like it is accelerating instead of tractoring. Also moving the c-clip in the carb will help with starting/idling. Allen

Going to measure for air pod, also change sprockets,1 st gear is useless,Rode to work w/ no problems, coming home it kept loading up when I twisted the gas open, maybe gas from sitting,so off comes the carb this weekend, guessing thats the problem.

Have you tried closing the main valve on the front of the carburator, tuning it in and then opening it about 2 turns? If that seems to help you can open it another half turn to fine tune it. It only has a few miles on it, I would drain the gas and then try the carb adjustment first.

On the street that poor lil bike will never please you like an 1100 But cruising trails or back roads it could be a lot of fun..Nimble and light. Change the sprockets, jet it, And if it still does not seem nice forget it. But good luck.
