MSO time

When can I expect to receive the MSO after delivery of the bike?

I called my dealer the day after my bike arrived and he then sent it out, so another 3-5 days from requesting it be sent. You may need to call if you haven't already. I guess for some it may be mailed automatically, but it's best to call if you're not sure.

I asked the dealer, and he said "I will check on it now." It sounds like he doesn't have the MSO and someone else will send it. Someone like the distributor, perhaps. I hope the guy knows what he's doing. The last bike I bought (VBIKE) had the MSO and bill of sale taped to the bike.

If it's been more than a few days, I'd call back and ask again. I think in Ga there is a penalty fee for registration after 30 days. I would contact the dealer every couple of days until it's either in your hands, or you're told it's on the way. And if you're told it's on the way, I wouldn't wait more than 7 more days before contacting them again.

My concern is mainly based on the stories of others here, who have spent a good deal of time and effort trying to get all of their paperwork in order.

Care to share what dealer you purchased from? That information might help (if someone else has experience w/ that dealer) or it might increase your concern (if someone else has had trouble there) depending on the experience of others.

Sorry I can't offer much help, other than to bug the dealer until you get it sorted.

Good luck!

I ordered the bike a month ago. For three weeks the bike has been sitting in my garage, ready to roll; but it's not street legal because the mso still hasn't arrived. The dealer has been responsive, but this is irritating. It's Shamrock. They replaced Motoxtreme as the only AL online saler. The mso might be lost in the mail. If so, will AL (Shawn) be able to print another one?

Texas does have a penalty for late registration. The penalty is pretty steep too. I would call again and find out what exactly is going on.

Hmmm. It appears this place is on my way home from work.

Anam

I went through the same thing with Anam last year, I waited 7 weeks for an real MSO. They sent photocopies that Florida would not accept.

Dispute the charges before it is to late.

Usually 60 days. You can call the CC company and inform them that you are having difficulties and I believe they can put a hold on the payment or something until the MSO comes.

If you are both in Texas then I would think that it should be Shamrock's job to title it for you.

It doesn't seem like they are familiar with the process.

You are a much more patient man than I. I ould make one more call and be polite but firm and tell them either you get an MSO the next day, or you are disputeing the charges on the CC.

You also will need to be re-imbersed for your labor for assembling their bike for them. Be sure and file a mechanics lein if you do.

I would contact the department in Texas that licenses dealers. I believe that they would be in violation since it is an in state transaction.

In GA the dealer should register the bike for you and you get the title in the mail in a couple weeks after purchase. You would get a temp tag to use in the meantime.

These guys don't answer the phone! I knew I should have gotten it from VBike instead.
