Their website looks legit. I gave them a call and a real person answered the phone. There is plenty of contact info that x-refs OK in California. The problem is CA, and from what I know there is something about how California handles titles and registration etc. I think your best bet would be to give them a call and ask them about it. Bike looks great tho

If you wanted a California registered Chinabike, this would be one of the few that you could get.

We have one

My son bought one. If this is the same dealer/bike, it had knobby tires, no speedometer and stickers on it that said "off road use only".

With that said, it also had blinkers, tag mounts and almost every other thing to make it street legal. We're in Texas and that is easy here.

I would force them to email or fax you a current picture. These bikes can be ordered from Xmoto with different configurations.

We ended up putting a speedo on it and removing the stickers. Beware, the blinkers are crap. The wires break off inside and you have to replace them. I'd just buy another type off eBay or somewhere. It's not a bad bike, just geared low (can you say tractor?).

Another reader on this forum from Canada, sold us a new rear sprocket. That brought the top end up nicely. Still, the knobbies keep it from being very stable at high speed.

Good luck!

Rusty

i talked to an xmotos sales person on windows im in china and as far as there concerned . they don't have any DOT approvals on any of there bikes . i also sent the link to them,so they could see what i was talking about . they said yes it does have CARB approval ,but as far as they know that doesn't make it street legal .
