Member 'Chromdioxide' posted these bikes a couple of weeks ago here (I think) and on mychinamoto (you beat me to it!! ). I think these are good bikes, as Pitster does have a big presence in the pit bike market (pun kind of intended... ), and I couldn't imagine them allowing their name to be sullied with an inferior bike. 'Crazy Carl' pointed out that their instrument panel appears to be from the same supplier as Qingqi, but for some reason, Pitster doesn't offer a tach on the panel, but rather a temp. gauge :? . Overall, it does offer an argument to buying a used bike in the same size (I think Suzuki, and KTM maybe are the only companies with an on-road 400cc enduro), and if you can convince Gary to lower the price to $2999 shipped, you might have a very good argument. Heck, you could probably get this bike and their 250 enduro, or their 250 motard for about the same price as one Yamaha 250 enduro (can't remember the exact name of the model), or one of the Kawi 250 enduros, or one Honda CRF230 motard. Makes for a very compelling argument, indeed!! :P

Well, I don't have the funds for one.

At $2999 shipped I think they would sell. Espicially with support.

I asked Gary if he would post here some more information on the bike. Even more info on the 250 model.

I know he is active on Thumpertalk and a couple others, and in spite of the venom heaped by TT members, he seems to have good arguments against them (it's not that difficult since, when it comes to Chinese bikes, many TT members have the IQ, and personality of 4 year olds arguing about who's father is stronger), but I have invited him to join us here a few times--at least here he would have a more captive audience of people actually interested in Chinese bikes!! :?

I was just down to Salt Lake City, Allen.

Lindon is not that far south of Salt Lake; it is just north of Provo. I get down there every once in a while. I would be very happy to test ride the LXT 400, and give a full review on this forum. If you like, please feel free to contact Gary, and see if he is agreeable to the idea.

Hey, we may have a guinea pig. Be nice to have an unbiased review.

We need Spud to give us his opinion. Probably the closest member to the bike.

That is exactly what I thought! It was obviously written in Chinglish, by a Chinese author.

It is the same bike though, correct? Not really anything new, just a new name on it?

Jim, It appears to me that pitster does have an above average product line. This makes me think that they may have spec'd better quality components for there version.

I was hoping they would have had a dealer in the ATL area so I could go look in person.

Too much money for me to drop without any real good reviews.

I just received the following email from Gary at Pitster Pro:

Hello, thanks for the email, I don't have a dealer in your area for this bike, however we can ship directly to you, we will have more of these bikes in stock in 3 weeks. and can offer you a intro price of $2999 shipped.

Thanks.

Regards

Gary G."

If you can get parts for this bike, $2999 is certainly an attractive price.
