Has anyone looked at these yet. They make a Supermotard version.

XTR 250LC Supermotard

I've contacted the company and they will ship one to my door for $2748.99. Seems like a great deal for a streetlegal water-cooled 250cc bike.

These are already in the US.

The motorcycle already has billet triple clamps and hubs. Very nice! I'm seriously considering one.

Oh yeah, Chuck Norris is my protege!

That is a very nice looking bike, Sam! How do you feel about the 36" seat height?

P.S. We haven't hear anything for weeks about the Pitster Pro LXT 400; I wonder what is happening? :?

Definatly looks great, but I wouldn't want to be the China Riders guenia pig and be the first one to buy one.

pitster pro

I tried to get one ,i just wanted assurance that their vin/mso #'s were up to snuff ,as here in PA its hard to get registered. The guy at pitster happily sent me a Vin# to take to the state dmv and get it checked out.I drove the whole way to the state capitol and guess what ,not only was the vin not in the feds database ,but pitsterpro was not on the mfgers list that PA keeps.I know this is a new bike ,but I couldn't plunk down $3000 and not be able to register it.I told gary at pitster and told him to get back to me when they got it worked out but nothing yet . I also had the same problem with the hensim from V -bike and haven't heard back from tim either, and strangely the next day the bikes were gone from the v-bike site.

PA is definately one of the tough states to get registration. GA is not easy either and I wouldn't risk it.

It seems that pitster still needs to work on the dealer/registration department.

Phil, not to defend Pitster, but they have been a niche manufacturer of off-road bikes for a few years now, and the mini-motards that have the streetable stuff were registered for the streets in those states that are easy to register such bikes (i.e. Pitster's home state of Utah). I think that, like the Ebay GY200's from a few years ago, it is buyer-beware when it comes to buying their full-size bikes for street duty. In Arizona, it is still legal to register quads, UTV's, dune buggies, etc. for the street provided they have a minimum of street equipment, so I would order one of Pitster's bikes for off-road/on-road without hesitation. However, those of you from "issue" states , don't order one until you know what the deal is, unless you want an off-road only bike.

Yes ,but why not spend a little time and do the paperwork , instead of telling me ,and I quote , The dmv worker was lazy and didn't want to deal with my questions so just blew me off about pitster, and if i tried hard enough i could get it registered as he had been through this before. This is what pitster guy ,Gary told me.It sucks I really wanted one.

I think that Gary spreads himself a little thin these days. It seems kind of like those "be careful what you wish for..." situations for him. He needs to spend money to expand, but needs to sell bikes for money. If he gets the bike EPA/DOT, that should take care of 49 states--sorry 'alkamp' as you can guess which state wouldn't cooperate.
