China DS with Green Plastics?
Hi, Im wondering if anyone here can tell which brand of a chinese DS bike would have green plastics? Ive seen them on ebay, listed as lifans, but they look like thier in kawasaki green (as well as the other colors, blue, red). The reason I ask is my dad is getting a lf200gy 5 very soon, but he wanted green plastics (and no we dont want to paint them, we just want to order a set).
If you ask any of the dealers around here they tell us that lifan doesnt make a green lf200 gy 5, but there was pictures on ebay of them, since though all the lifans have vanished from ebay. Any info on this would be appreciated, thanks. |

mine is green and white, I'd be willing to trade for a set of red or black if they will match up.

Hmm ok, I will try to explain more clearly...
Before I purchased mine from a local dealer I found Lifan LF200-GY5 (the 5 not the 2) listed on ebay, and they were there in the blue and red as usual, but also in green, since then these have all dissapeared of of ebay, maybe these are the "grey market" ones? I dont know, just looking for the plastic, anyone with info on that, much appreciated. |

Take a look at X-Rage (Google they're website) in Vancouver. They have a model called the Lifan gy200 style bike and it comes in several colors (red, blue, green, yellow and orange) maybe the panels match and they can help you with the color you need??

Thanks, I'll check that one out. Thier rebadged one is the PX250-1, which is wierd since I bet it has a 200cc motor, unless it was changed, hmm. That one does appear to have different logos on the plastic, though I am 99percent sure they fit. They just say xrage rather then GY and no 5 on the front, which may not matter... Thanks. I will give one of thier local dealers a call monday and see about thier price on plastics.
If there are any other rebadged lifans anyone knows of who may have green (200 gy 5) please let me know, thanks. EDIT, come to think of it, they dont have the light kit for the x-rage, I remeber looking at them before, so we cant get the headlight surrount piece, just the tank covers... Will need to keep looking, I remeber the ebay one was exactly the same as a gy-5 with the lights and all... Thanks again. |

Jim,
I've seen the E-bay GY's in green and yellow, I still have the original ad from when I bought my bike and they still had them available at that time (DEC 06), havn't seen them since, your better off looking for Kawi green paint and painting it.. You can contact T-Motorsports and see if they can give you more info than I can, that's where I got my bike and was an option at one time... Hope I could help...

Oh ok so it was t-motorsports who had the green available? Do you have a picture of the green one, if so it would be awesome if you could send it to me.
I will try contacting them for more info, thanks. |
