Removing rear brake caliper
Anyone know how to get the rear brake caliper off? Near as I can tell, you have to take the whole rear tire off to get the mounting plate loose. Also, where is the fill hole for the rear brake resevoir?
These may sound like silly questions to some (they would to me), but unless you have one of these, you'll be in the dark. |

Rear brake follow up
Yes - you do have to take the rear wheel off to service the rear brakes. Some moron must have designed this. Near as I have figured, you also have to remove the rear brake master cylinder and raise it in the air to remove the end cap and then fill the resevoir. I've not personally done this yet. Though I may try reverse bleeding by pumping brake fluid through the bleeder valve and loosening the resevior cover to release the air. Good in theory but the bleeder valves are crap.
I'll let you know how it comes out unless someone has a better idea. |

On the forward controls (master brake cyl.) take off one bolt(of 2)
and loosen the second (they hold the whole brake to the bike) tilt the whole thing up and you will be able to work from the top. Use a suck device on the rear slave cyl.bleeder valve...... If you have had you chain tensioner ripped off... I will post a sweet way to replace all the OEM parts in a different cofig. It will work better. |

Ok.....chain teinchener on my chopper was "leading" not "trailing."
After riding my bike for the first time (2 yrs.ago) My chain ripped off my teinchener....twice. The second time it tore off the little piece of metal that was tack welded and held the whole thing. So last night I replaced my lower back motor mount with a 6" 3/8 bolt. Before install I dremalled a little of the motor cover so it would be easier to get bolt in and out. Soooo...get the spring in first make sure to get the set end under the motor cover then bolt in the rest of the assemblage. I replaced the "roller wheel" with one I bought at a motto shop. You may have to ream out the "bearing sleeve" to fit the bolt through. Annnnnnnd a washer or two for spacers both the motto mount and the roller wheel I know that when faced with replacing the original it meant welding and no guarantee it would work....how ever preliminary tests show this not only stable but a clean look.....Probably should have come from the factory this way. Good luck! And hope this helps. |

New here
I've been stalking this forum for a while, working on my lil chopper. here are a few pics of the progress so far. Mostly cosmetic and electrical with a few mods needed to make the bike run without the problems of poor design from the factory. It is currently the candy apple red and black two tone.

Dragon/Scorpion Chopper
I just picked up one of these used and have noticed some of the wires have been cut and missing. Does anyone know if there is a wiring diagram for these. I need to wire up a brake light and turn signals to make legal.

I'm sorry to say that the OEM lights are not street legal.
I replaced mine and haven't looked back... If you go to photobucket and search "dragon chopper" I set a vid. and pics. In fact I replaced my wiring harness from mid chopper back.A very nice upgrade. But if I get a chance I'll get out my old "cheat sheet. |

If I remember right the speedo was not lit..
and it is cable driven....and not relyable. You may be able to go to radio shack and get a 6 wire "trunk."(6 sep.wires wraped to look like one thick wire)Get the good stuff. The OEM wire is very thin. You will want to get new conectors. I had to bulid mine from scratch. You will need a spl.tool to do this. You can get a "otis" volt tester from harbor freight. or home depot. Make sure when testing that you ground when testing. |
