Best Chain Lube
Ok Guys<
I know the 428 chain is not the greatest and my other bike is a shaftie(Suzi M-50) So I plan for budgetary reasons to keep the 428 and just change the rear sprocket, that being said what is the best chain lube these days( before the Suzuki I had a Yamaha XJ750 Maxim also shaft drive) I've been out of the chain gang for a while And the best chain lube is.........................? TIA Joe |

i use Wurth brand HHS 2000 lube. it's super running at first then sets up like engibe assembly lube. seems to work pretty good. i think another name for the stuff is polylube 250.

Maxima Chain Wax, as said paraffin based, bees wax, stays free and is always lubricating the chain or cable. Over many years I have tried many I think Chain Wax is the best. I use it to lube a lot of stuff on the bikes, it's great at dissipating water.

I´ve used Maxima Chain Wax on most of my bikes and really like it.
I think that because it´s apparently so toxic, it must be effective.... The can has a sticker that says something like "Known to the state of California to give birth defects and bla bla bla" Luckily for me, I´m already born, and live in Sweden instead of California. My son doesn´t seem to have any defects either (other than the ones that came from his mothers side)

My favorite is Silkolene. It won't fling off under normal use.
Just never ever use WD-40. |
