It seems silly to me to ship an atv from their warehouse presumably in Vancouver to a dock most likely in Langley for $250... I still have to go pick it up, I just have to pay more to do it. Oh well I don't really need one anyways

I agree.

Wait for one to break on someone who knows nothing about them and pick it up for a song off craigslist.

Its true. I was checking on a shipment for one of the quads i ordered when the girl at day ross (shipping company) laughed when i told her what the shipping was. She said there was no way thats what they charged. It was only going from Richmond or Vancouver to Coquitlam. I believe it was roughly a third of the cost i paid! I understand that they need to make a little bit to make up for the auction prices but c'mon, three times as much?

Yeah the shipping is much higher than it was last year, but hey there's still really nowhere else in canada that you can get these new quads for less that i have found.

I think the honest way to deal with that would be to charge actual shipping rates and set a reserve price on an auction. I won't be buying one from the auction due to the lack of local pickup.

Like Waynev, I focus on total cost. When I bought our Beast, I think I paid $900.00 including shipping and taxes. That was some time ago, and I know that they can be had for less now but I was very satisfied with the total.

shipping thru day & ross

hello ,I ship alot of stuff threu day & ross ,, & I also buy alot of GIO STUFF.. the managers at DAY & ROSS told me that the gio shipping that they paid was too cheap and they raised theprices up this year.. so they raised it & GIO JUST RAISED it to everyone else.. as what are you doing to do about it anyways.. I paid about $400.00 and I order 4 of them to save on the shipping.. last year.. so it worked out to $500.00 total,.. this year the T3 cost me about $800.00- $900.00 total.. lots of people are selling hardly used ones for about $500.00 in town.. they are ok.. but you have to buy a good chain right at the start or $$$$ for the damage

I agree i have purchased 5 quads from Gio now and for the price, even with the shipping, hard to complain. Besides two beasts, I bought three of the 110cc bull quadra's and they are still going strong. My friend went off a 15 foot ravine, has no body parts anymore but runs like a dream. Great quads for the price. They sometimes can be a headache fixing but sure beats paying thousands for a brand name one.

I tried the shipping calculator using Gio's postal code, it apparently costs $130 to ship to it's current location (for the 125 t3). 8O The 200 is over $250. My postal code is about $5 more.
