exhaust header
ok so i am watching a video on youtube of a kawasaki kfx450r
i noticed in the start ofthe video it shows the quad slowly rotating in a circle so you can see all sides of it.. it appears that the exhaust header is the same as our gio quads and my wanna be gio quad.. just letting you guys know so that if you have the chance to see one up close and it appears to be a close fit.. we have a good option for a full exhaust instead of just putting a silencer on the end of the stock exhaust header.. |

i know it kicks out where the rear fender would be, but if you cut it and spun it 90 and rewelded it should work..
ive been looking for a header pipe cuz adding a muffler only does so much where as doing a full exhaust adds a lot more power |

I agree. If you want something to cut and chop, start looking for XR200R performance exhausts.
BTW, the header pipe for the Gio 250 bike is quite big, and it's stainless.

i was more or less looking for a bike or quad that the header pipe would require little to no modding to fit. cause i wanted to top off my fmf powercore 2 pipe with the fmf power bomb header pipe

Aint gonna happen. The closest you'll get is either XR200R or CRF230.

i could always cut my stock header pipe where it bolts to the motor and weld it in place on the fmf power bomb header pipe and then make adjustments through the use of a sawz all and a welding setup to make it fit i guess..
like serious some one needs to make some exhaust ment ofr these china quads and bikes, does not matter who you are.. eventually you want more power and the first thing to be done is a exhaust system |

What motor are these running?
I found that a White Brothers Mini R-4 for a CRF150 was a direct bolt on at the exhaust port to a Lifan GY-5 200cc, the FML-162 motor (is that the right number?). Link to the dual sport topic and pics... Mini R-4 pipe Bill R |

gio beasts run a zong motor i think
mine is a knock of the gio beast, which the beast is a knock of another quad.. i couldnt tell you who makes my motor weither its a zong or what.. i can say its not a lifan as my code on the both of the engine reads 167fml.. lifans read lf 167fml or maybe its backwards like 167fml lf.. not 100% sure could you take some measurments of ur header pipe ? like how far apart the mounting holes are, the o.d. and i.d. of the head pipe where it mounts and maybe post a picture of it installed ? after figuring out if the measurments are correct it comes down to how the pipe is bent and routed |

just looked at ur link, should prolly start checking links before asking questions.. it seems form the pictures where it mounts at the engine block might be a hair to small, then for the price of that pipe we would only be able to use a small part of that pipe.. from the engine mount of it to directly above the clutch lever.. and even then it seems that it kicks upwards when on our quads it should continue straight and then kick down slightly and then back up to give the silencer that angle look...
i am going to find a header pipe that works even if i have to take the quad up to woodsfuncenter and do side by side comparisons to name brand 250cc sport quads.. |

Yes, it's a Zong motor, but it's built to emulate a Honda. The CRF150 stuff that Bill mentioned will bolt on, because the head style is the same as the XR200R and the CRF230.
As a point of general interest, the Gio 250 dirt bike header looks like a close fit, and it's stainless. You're not likely to find a Power Bomb that will fit a Gio Beast without mods. I spent some time on the FMF website, and they don't list a Power Bomb for any of the Honda four stroke quads that would bolt on to a Gio Beast. The truth is, I don't believe that you'll see any difference with a Power Bomb at these low power levels. I bet they would wake up a YZ250F a little, but I know from TurboT's bike that YZ250F's don't need waking up. 8O

i was going off of what i know about cars again, if you just throw a catback system on it. you change the sound and gain a little bit of power, but with out opening up the rest of the exhaust system you wont make much..
to behonest even if it is just to go from the crap metal on that comes stock to a stainless steel one si well worth it.. the power bomb from what i under stand is there help the scavange effect in the motor. i understand that to mean it helps to pull out the exhaust gas and replace them with fresh/fuel mixture faster |

Sure, but a smooth radius larger diameter pipe will meet the Beast's needs. Again, that 250 Gio dirt bike header looks promising.
