Phase 3 Lifan XR!!! I RODE IT!!!
I am so happy! :P :P :P
A little ways to go for mechanical compleatness, a long ways to go if I want to make it pretty, but it's ridable now, and it rides great! Here's the battery box made from the air cleaner box. The sealed gel battery can sit anyway without leaking, so it fit best in this configuration. Yucky old air filter. In she goes. Into the bike. It's a nice fit with the Uni filter. The wiring semi-neatly tucked away. Cheap Chinatool broke. Busted a knuckle. If I did this for a living I'd get Snap-ons! 'Finished' I have the side panels, this was just sorta bolted together for a test ride. I rode it up and down the street, in near total darkness, for about 3 miles. It runs GREAT! About the same power as Q, but lighter and much better off road suspension. Chain, transmission, carburation, clutch, brakes all seem to work great. I'm grateful to God for His help. And to you guys also.

Cheap Chinatool, wrong image link above.
Betty, the restored GS, I realize I'd left her out of the pics from last time.

No clue if this works Doc, But I saw it a while back and it seemed intersting. Might get some color back in that plastic quick and cheap fer ya.
Don't sue me if it does not work.

congrats on the first ride doc
ya if she is going have a pretty lady riding her, i think she needs a little touch up on her make up..you got 2 options, alot of masking the motor off and other stuff, or strip her down to a bare fram and paint her or powder coat the frame and swingarm. could also replace all the old worn out bushings and the rusted bolts with new stuff if you wanted to go that far.. but in the end you would have a show room quality restored bike

Congrats Doc! It looks great from my POV.
May I have the old air filter if you don't have a use for it? Just toss it in the pile of stuff I need to pick up.
