For a cheap used CB in California the xf200 and xf250 are easy to find with low miles for under $1,500.

gh426, you should consider riding the Amtrack up to Santa Barbara for the SSR--the engine is near-identical, if not identical, to the DR200. The Qlink was the 'brand' whereas the manufacturer is Qingqi. SSR currently sells the XF250 which is this bike's bigger brother, but the newer version's 250cc engine does not have an American identical like the 200cc version does, ironically. Heck, I'm half tempted to offer you a ride up there because I am curious, myself...
