Mine was new.

After 3 hours at the licence office my wife started to cry . I don't know anyone who can stand to see my wife cry. The lady behind the desk started moving at lightspeed. It was like she grew 6 more arms and all of them had a document in their hands 8O . I have never seen anything like it from a government worker. I was shoo-ed out the door plate in hand in 40 seconds. That was about a year and 9 months ago. West end Toronto licencing office. I got it from Daymak, closed now I think. I purchased an electric bike that was crap. Spent a bit more and got 150-cc Xingyue Easy. Yesterday I read a topic that said there is a china store up Jane north of toronto. I was under the impression that they were all shut down. If it isn't a lot harder to get one licenced here now, it will be soon. Ont gov is busy closing all loopholes on bikers. It's now an offence to stand up and stretch while riding. "They" say it's to stop people from doing wheelies. :?

In BC I had no issues, where I purchased it from insisted I had it provincially inspected, I did, however the insurance company (ICBC) assured me I didn't need it... I gave it to them either way.... It took no more then 5 minutes... I think it helped that it was a Lifan though, I don't know about bikes with different names.

It's called stunting if you get caught standing on the pegs here in Ontario!

I was warned about it ....I said I was just unbunching my pants from up around the family jewels...lol...and he said don't do it again and let me go.....I asked how to solve the issue next time...I asked if I used one hand..he says sure but would prefer me to stop and stretch!!! The problem is that they group all types of bikes together and make laws to stop a certain activity....they see people standing on the pegs doing wheelies....that stands to reason that is the only reason you stand on the pegs....if you ride a dualsport..it is safer to ride on the pegs when riding in uneven ground....No? So that would mean you would have even more control on tarmac too, right? Your centre of gravity has dropped from the seat hieght to the peg hieght thus making you more stable. But they don't see it that way and so you get the laws the way you get them......grouped!Bike's a bike a bike! there's your ticket!!! Stunting! Now try and get ins...next year!

You guys are the experts, and seem to have figured out who's building what.
So which bike is this?

Looks like a good deal at $1299

I'd take it to court if a ticket was issued. Motorcycle training 101 says take a standing position if you have to drive over an obstacle. BTW, don't simply take a cops word at what the 'law' is. More often than not they don't know the specifics and move on whatever they deem as 'suspicious' activity.

I beat a ticket in front of a judge a couple of years ago because they misspelled my first name.

As for the Konker, I spoke to my local dealer about them. He'll be selling them this year in addition to the 2nd set of rims/tires. I figure I can wrangle a test ride come spring.

That bike looks to be just another GY2 variation.

I stand on the pegs all the time. I get crapped sitting on bike about midway through my commute.
