Looks good, but a little pricey IMO.

$4600 for that yamaha fat tired 200cc machine.

You won't get anything new from a name brand for what you want to pay, unfortunately!!

Look at some used bikes....for $3000 you may be able to find a used KLR.?

That's a Qingqi / Qlink... I think that is a very good bike, the fit and finish on it is also excellent. If I did not have my gy6 I would buy one of those.

I saw it at the Konker booth at the Toronto motorcycle show, looks gorgeous. The price is too high though, I can get a GY200 for $1299 that's already an enduro. It may not be as nice a bike, but for the extra money, I can buy 2 GY's, one for me and one for my wife.

These company's have to be careful, they can't price the Chinese stuff too high, nobody has any faith in it yet.

You went to the bike show downtown Toronto, masta? Did you see the Vintage bike display? 24 old bikes all together?

They were all from my chapter of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group. Old Fort York section. My bike was not selected, good thing too, my bike is all in pieces right now

When I go for vintage rides on Sunday mornings, those are the guys I ride with. Cool eh?

I did and I love vintage bikes. I used to race with the VRRA. I was admiring the Kawi 500 triple, the RD350LC and the Honda CB400-4.
The bikes were amazing, the condition of the LC was stunning.

I spent more time gawking at the vintage stuff in the top corner of the show than at any of the new stuff. One day I will have a vintage bike, I'd love an old Honda CB900SuperSport.(I am only 35, so vintage to me is early 80's!)

What do you have in pieces?

I got a nice 1972 Honda cb350 K4 twin supersport. Here's a pic http://www.chinariders.net/gallery2/...g2_itemId=9445

Wanna hear a funny?
The guy that rides that cb 400/4 has got to stand 6'5" tall. I saw him riding it when we went out on a vintage ride. GOD it was funny. His knees were up by his shoulders and spent most of the time stretching out his long legs. He looks like a spider riding a tricycle

Our vintage club rides every sunday. The other half of the club goes to the meet and just has breakfast. If you want to go on a vintage group ride next year, PM me. Almost all rides are open to everyone, antique bike not required. Or if you just want to have breakfast and look at old bikes, I know where 50 cool bikes are every sunday morning.

I don't think in Canada, though I don't actually know our laws... I am pretty sure my gy6 was imported as an offroad bike, but I had no issues registering it in BC. Again, laws differ from province to province.

Mine said dirt, not for highway use. I took the sticker off before taking it for the safety certification.

So you had no problems?
Was that recently, or before the rules changed?
Officially, the rules were changed to disallow offroad to onroad conversions.
Bike safety, and road worthiness was the reason they used.
Unofficially, if the bike has never been registered, its tecnically not a conversion
It can also be dependant on who you get at the ministry office, and the legitimacy of the manufacturer, according to ministry approval.
This is what I've learned / been told at my local small town office.
