No carb work has been done "yet" I decided that when I do that.. The original ie $70.00 Japanese Makuni is what I will go with. Fork oil up grade.. I weigh in the 180's and the 20wt oil in place of what came from the factory looks to be a good choice.
47 mph so far
Did you see what showed up?
The Kepspeed swing arm is a welded piece of art!!Will be installed at a later time.. Once I get an idea how to.. improve the rear end.
Skid plate with and assortment of parts to hopefully adapt for this bike.. Designed for the BMW G310GS
Foot pegs are e bay.. Need to grind off a bit of metal so foot pegs can open fully

Don't want that, I'd buy a bigger bike.
Just want smooth power to 50 - 55. Got that.
All is good.

Now, I need a rear shock, what fits that I can adjust?

Why’s it gotta be a “Big Ugly Headlight”? Where’s the love?

Why can’t it be a “Wind splitting, aerodynamic, speed enhancing, device that emits a beautiful ray of sunshine”?

All we are asking for is a little love people!

Most people are using the clone carbs. The vm22 is not a 26mm carb. The inlet inner diameter is 26mm but the slide is not. The slide is what determines the carb size. I wonder what a VM26 would run like on the stock motor.

I’ve installed a 26mm carb, have to upgrade the intake manifold tho. Close to a mini carb but not one.

Glad to see this thread isn’t and dead as I saw earlier on. Anyone having carb adjustment issues like me ? Won’t even fire up just turns over for days with spark. Fuel gets to the carb n bowl. Float stuck open/closed?

What happens when you squirt some gas (or starter fluid) down the carb throat (hold throttle open when you squirt it) and try to start it? Does it fire off, run for a second and die?

I've got a vm22 mikuni (clone) carb on my stock HC. Runs great after tuning.

Cheers!

It tries to cough. Coughs with a chain rattle.
Sometimes it just doesn’t do anything. Post a video of how your carb is adjusted cuz I swear the videos I’ve seen online are worthless to this 26mm carb.

Check out my build thread...this post explains my tune. I've got the vm22 on the stock manifold/spacer... and stock exhaust (sorry don't know exhaust gasket size).
