I commute on my bike daily, close to 100 km's a day in the spring summer and fall. Winters here are too severe so I have to put it away in October or November and then pull it back out in April or May usually. Bike performs fantastically rain or shine (it's a KLR650 though, not a chinabike) . Lol, I've ridden in the pouring rain and the security guard at work stood up and clapped for me when I went through the gate (probably thought I was nuts!).

I ride most of the time. My only rules are it has to be above freezing (I'll go down to maybe 20 degrees if it's very sunny), and dry. Preferably light/sunny but that's not critical.
I live in a fairly mild climate and I have appropiate cold weather gear. I'd rather freeze on a bike than be warm in a cage.

I'd love to ride, but I'm a travelling technician, and I'm carrying a ton of parts and tools around. I haven't ridden regularly on the street in 20 years, but I've been playing off-road for a long time. Son of Weldangrind and I plan to get our new (to us) dual sports on the road this year.

I ride spring, summer, and fall. I don't do cold, below 45 when I leave, it makes my knees and arthritic hands hurt too much. I have a short ride to work, 5 miles one way and my gy-5 runs and handles superb.

Rock on buddy. Montana is having a pretty mild winter too. At least Missoula is... Driller. Have you considered electric gloves and/or chaps? They're part of my secret weapon.

I used to ride my main bike until the first snow then put it way until early spring. I just got the QingQi motard and with knobbies I plan to ride year round (prob not when there is just ice out though).
I live less then 10 miles from work though so it's not a big deal when the temps drop (Central Ohio). |

I have ridden to work for a "season", but unlike doc, I would rather be warm in a "cage" then freeze on a bike. To me transportation is transportation. I like practicality.

Don't worry.
Chinabikes have only one fuse usually in a cheesy holder that is prone to failure. May be a very easy fix. Although, I don't know if it would run or start without that fuse...
